Suggested Target Audience

 

For the novel I Am The Messenger by Markus Zusak, mature readers are encouraged. This book is not recommended for younger audiences such as below the age of 14, considering that to be more on the immature side. Young adults and over are suggested due to the inclusion of violence, sex (such as rape), language, and drinking, however, it contains positive messages making the book worthy of reading so long as you’re mature to handle the more deeper and inappropriate content. Although the book contains such inclusions, it doesn’t go through it in details, and follows up to positive messages based on those bad examples. Ages 14-18 is suggested as it’s considered roughly to be young adults, although older people are encouraged more than the young ones.
